Terbinaforce Cream is a topical antifungal medication containing terbinafine hydrochloride as its active ingredient. It is primarily used for the treatment of skin fungal infections, including ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and fungal infections of the skin caused by Candida (such as cutaneous candidiasis). 
Indications
Terbinaforce Cream is typically prescribed for:
    Tinea corporis (Ringworm of the body): A fungal infection that affects the skin, characterized by round, red, and scaly patches with clear centers. It is highly contagious and often spreads through direct skin-to-skin contact.
    Tinea pedis (Athlete’s foot): A common fungal infection that affects the feet, often between the toes, and causes itching, burning, peeling, and redness. It can spread to other parts of the body or to others through contact with contaminated surfaces.
    Tinea cruris (Jock itch): A fungal infection of the groin area, causing red, itchy, and inflamed skin, often aggravated by sweating and friction.
    Cutaneous candidiasis: An infection caused by the Candida yeast, often affecting areas where skin folds, such as the armpits, groin, or under the breasts. Candida infections can cause itching, burning, and redness.
Mechanism of Action
Terbinafine, the active ingredient in Terbinaforce Cream, works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. By blocking the enzyme squalene epoxidase, terbinafine prevents the conversion of squalene into ergosterol, leading to the accumulation of toxic squalene within the fungal cell. Terbinafine is particularly effective against dermatophytes (fungi that infect the skin, hair, and nails) and yeasts like Candida, which are the most common causative agents of superficial fungal infections.Dosage and Administration
Terbinaforce Cream is typically applied once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the infection and the specific recommendation of a healthcare provider. The general instructions for use are as follows:
    Clean and dry the affected area before applying the cream.    Apply a thin layer of the cream to the infected area and gently rub it in until it is evenly distributed.    Continue using the cream for the full duration prescribed, even if symptoms begin to improve before completing the treatment. For most fungal skin infections, treatment duration typically lasts 1 to 2 weeks, but in some cases, longer treatment may be required, particularly for more extensive or persistent infections.Side Effects
Terbinaforce Cream is generally well-tolerated when used as directed, but some individuals may experience mild side effects. These may include:
    Skin irritation: This can include redness, itching, or a stinging sensation at the site of application.    Dryness or peeling: The treated area may become dry or flaky as the fungal infection clears up.    Rash: In rare cases, some individuals may develop a rash or an allergic reaction.
Precautions and Contraindications
